Invertebrates
TJP has designed many treatment systems for the wide variety of special requirements associated with invertebrate animals including living corals, jellies, and cephalopods. Many times these systems are characterized by their special needs for water movement. There may be requirements for bringing in natural seawater rich in food or circulation at times without particulate filtration to allow for feeding cycles. Jellies have a stringent requirement for the system to be conveniently isolated, bleached, and drained on a routine basis. Soft corals have a need for strong water movement in the tank and water inlets that can be revised and upgraded as the exhibit matures. The life support system (LSS) for these can range from small “skid” packages to large systems built in the field.
